Cheow Lan Lake Mini Expedition 4 Days 3 Nights

Day One Lunch, Dinner
08:00 Pick up from hotel.
09:00 Stop for some traditional Thai fruit fritters and coffee, plus a chance for a short visit to a beautiful cave Temple.
11:00 Arrive at the Dam.
11:00 Boat trip to your Raft house.
12:00-13:00 Lunch and Relax.
13:00-14:00 Basic kayak and safety instruction.
14:00-16:30 Our first paddle in Cheow Lan Lake and through the small estuaries.
16:30 Coffee and snack break and a chance for a swim.
17:30 Paddle over to Bill Island where we may see the Hornbills that frequent this area. Evening is the best time for a chance to view them.
19:00 Head back for dinner.
20:00 Relax. You may want to hear interesting stories of rainforest experiences.
Day Two Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
07:30 You will awake in the morning to the wonderful sounds of the Lar Gibbons echoing across the lake, one of the lead players in the rainforest's morning orchestra.
08:00 Breakfast.
09:00 Head out for our viewpoint trek. This is a good chance to see the Lar Gibbon and Dusky Langurs on this trail.
12:00 Paddle to our special hidden waterfall lunch spot.
14:00 After cooling off and exploring the waterfall, paddle back to the raft house, exploring the rainforest and looking for interesting wildlife and flora on the way.
17:00 Arrive at raft house. Free time to relax, swim, or paddle.
19:00 Sunset dinner.
Day Three
08:00 Breakfast.
09:00 Depart to explore the amazing limestone Karsts formations. There are many caves to explore and some amazing scenery. If the water level is right, we can take you through a secret cave to a lake within a lake.
12:00 Lunch at a viewpoint. This is a chance for high divers to take a 6 metre (20 foot) jump into 90 metre deep water.
13:00 Paddle to another shallow area for some snorkeling.
19:00 Dinner, after which those who still have the energy will be taken for a night paddle with a chance to see some of the nocturnal wildlife that inhabits the area. This would be the greatest chance oto see the mightiest cat in the world (The Tiger) in the wild.
Day Four
08:00 Breakfast.
09:00 Head for a trek through some beautiful rock formations in the rainforest. This area is full of wildlife and you will find many tracks here.
11:00 Arrive at an amazing cave system and explore the cave system inside, where there are some truly amazing stalactites and stalagmites, bats of various species, spiders, and also strange luminous
white fungi.
12:00 Lunch at cave entrance. You will be surprised at the quality of the lunches we have on our trek and excursions (Sea Canoe Style)!
12:45 Start the trek back to our kayaks.
14:30 Depart for raft house.
15:30 Check out and return to pier.
17:00 Transfer back to pick-up location.
20:00 End of service at the hotel.

What to Bring:
Swimwear, T-shirts, shorts, long pants, long sleeved shirt, towel, sun hat, sunscreen (SPF 15 minimum), camera, lots of film, toiletries, sun-glasses, waterproof sandals or flip flops.

Optional extras include sunrise and night paddles. Sunrise paddles are a good opportunity to spot Gibbons and Monkeys. Night paddles are a chance to catch the larger nocturnal mammals and cats coming to the lakeside to drink. There are no additional costs for these. Aside from their own knowledge of the rainforest, guides will have a selection of reference books about the wildlife and fauna of the area to share with you.
